To keep when Money is Tight Giving from Charitable Donations?

Money is tight for Individuals and companies in these challenging times. Unfortunately, when money is tight, the first thing cut from several budgets is charitable contributions to needy organizations and worthwhile causes. Which hurts? You do not need to stop giving if your cash flow is tight. Instead of giving cash you can give in different ways. This column is meant to suggest 10 ways that you can keep on giving in a way besides direct cash to the causes or groups of your choice.

Volunteer to Serve. : Ability to function does not have to be debilitating. Find group or a cause which you believe in, and offer to function. You can volunteer to serve on a committee, or as a committee’s head. You can volunteer to serve as an officer of this group. Or simply as a worker who helps out when required. Volunteering costs you nothing monetarily, and your service can benefit the group a lot more.

Sell Your Professional Services to Gain the Cause: As a Fund Raising Auctioneer I know from experience that professional services can sell extremely well at a Fund Raising Auction. If a Silent or Live Auction services may raise money. For Instance, I have sold such services as:

  • An artist to paint a family or private portrait.
  • A Fire Chief who offered to take kids.
  • A tour with a Mayor of city hall and lunch.
  • Attorney will.
  • A dentist that offered a teeth-whitening service.
  • A painter who offered to paint a room or office.

The list goes on. Experience or whatever your profession, there is someone out there willing to buy that service to benefit the cause that is ideal. Offer up a Free Demo in your area of Experience: All of us specialize in something, whether it is a career field or a private hobby. Your group can be benefited by a demonstration by you.

  • They can be taught a skill by a demonstration to group members.
  • A demonstration with all fees visiting a group that is chosen can increase funds.
  • For talking elsewhere to your group or you may donate an honorarium which you might receive.

Offer Free Professional Services Directly to Someone in Need: The key objective of many groups is to assist that in need In lieu of donating money you can provide your services directly. Perhaps you can help mentor a child in a needy bashir dawood, provide music courses to a family that cannot afford them, or offer transportation services to church, the physician, or elsewhere for somebody who cannot drive.
